Diwali or Deepavali is the Hindu festival of lights celebrated every year falls between mid-October and mid-November. It is an official holiday on that day. Diwali is one of the major festivals of Hinduism, it spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.Its celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops, outside doors and windows, around temples and other buildings in the communities and countries where it is observed. On that day people do Lakshmi Puja,aslo known as diwali puja.

On Diwali night, individuals spruce up in new garments or their best outfit, illuminate diyas (lights and candles) inside and outside their home, take an interest in family puja (petitions) normally to Lakshmi – the goddess of prosperity After puja, firecrackers take after, then a family devour including mithai (desserts), and a trade of endowments between relatives and dear companions. Deepavali additionally denote a noteworthy shopping period in countries where it is praised.

On the day of Diwali, people gets up early in the morning and pay tribute to their ancestors and worship gods and goddess. People wear new clothes and wishes happy diwali to every one .Most Diwali  Puja are performed after keeping a day long fast. Hence, the devotees of Goddess Lakshmi observe a day long fast on the day of Lakshmi Puja. The fast will  broken after Lakshmi Puja in the evening.

Most of Hindu families decorate their homes and offices with marigold flowers and Ashoka, mango and banana leaves and diyas on the day of Lakshmi Puja/Diwali puja. People do puja of goddess Laxmi and God Ganesh and get blesssing from them. After diwali/Laxmi puja people follow firecrackers.

  • Wear footwear while lighting Diwali firecrackers.
  • Put your vehicles in a garage.
  • Ensure you purchase Firecrackers from an authorized shop.
  • Continuously keep the firecrackers in a shut box.
